cruise control

cruise works when it wants. but i have found the culprit. under the horn is a connector that Y's off: there is the main connector feeding it (from the clockspring i believe) and then it Y's off to the "on/off" and the "set/resume" controls. my "set/resume" is acting up. i pulled the rocker switch off and can push on the wires (not the buttons) to make it work. is just this Y connector assembly available for purchase or does the whole clockspring assembly need to be purchased? dealer showed nothing for the Y and the clockspring schematic didnt show the Y or mentioned anything about it. and nothing in stock to look at.

if the entire assembly needs to be bought, its off to the junk yard.

thanks, Pat

My gut feeling about Dodge dealer parts is you have to buy the whole durn thing and pay through the wazoo.

I had our local auto electric guy check mine out and and he said I would have to get a whole new switch assembly from the dealer for about 82 dollars.

Try www.chryslerpartsdirect.com I've had good luck with them and their prices are generally less than you "loco" dealer.

went to this site, enter my info but was given two choices. 90-92 and 92-93 (cheaper). my thinking is, it is the 92-93 because there were some 91.5s so the site just says 92s.

i sent a comment with my VIN and noted that i had the 3 spoke steering wheel (i knew to do this after speaking with different dealers). response was my VIN says i have a 2 spoke and i was given a link to the part i need. the part that was linked was different than the two i found.

probably need to request more info. too bad they dont show pics.
