What's that pretty blue thing in the box? Is that one of those "momentius-forwarduses" that I see in the Road Runner cartoons ?

Hopefully it wasn't packaged like that, as the USPS guys would have had a tough time dropping it out of their buggies on your front step.

That trans is for a 1st gen right? they use their own trans because non lockup. It's kinda involved to convert to a 94 and newer lock up trans It's a swap

Hopefully you bought a good converter, as that's the weakness and power robber of these trucks...

So getting so excited about the transmission has finally gave me motivation to work on another small project for the truck...

What to do with a broken A pillar and a piece of tubing...

Cut tubing into 5 chunks.

Glue Tube pieces to Broken A pillar and make one solid unit.

wrap it in magic blanket... and apply internet magic...

VIOLA!!! Instant 5 Gauge A Pillar pod!! (obviously not finished yet lol)

haha unfortunately not. however it does make things for me i've sold a time or two

Got the pod mostly finished today. Its drying its last (hopefully) coat right now, then just need to sand it out, and maybe a little body filler.

Sanded out the first layer

applied a little more magic carpet to get the back end a better shape.

and hopefully its last layer.

Finished for now.... Got a couple high spots i need to knock down, but i'll worry about that later. My gauges come tomorrow, so waiting on them to test fit and modify whatever needs to be done to make them fit right. Then need to test fit it into the truck, then i'll pull it back out, sand out the last couple imperfections, apply the finish coat, and paint it
but other wise the shape wont change from whats here (at least changes you'll notice)

well lemme back track on my previous post lol. I was knockin down the high spots on the pod and it started getting a little thin. So i sprayed it, and layed one more layer of glass down. should be pretty much ready for the finish coat now after final gauge fitting. But this gives a pretty good insite to what its going to look like finished. Although im going to wrap half of it in fabric i think...
