Core Support
Of course, it'll fit between the fenders and such but the radiators are smaller in the gas trucks. But maybe not too difficult a task to modify and attach some mounting tabs for the diesel radiator.
It would be more like removing the mounting extension brackets that move the gas radiator closer to the smaller gas engine and adding something more flush mounted.
When I did my '89 Ramcharger, I got a '89 diesel core support and had it painted the right color rather than butcher up and try to make the clean gasser support work.
I guess it really depends on your fab skills and what you want it to look like when you pop the hood. I wanted it to look clean and correct, so I had the proper core support painted.

Core Support
The problem is that my existing Core support got pushed in right at the bumper level and right turn light causing the head light to point down.
The Hood is about one inch above the front fender support on that side while the drivers side is perfect
No engine problems at all.
Should remove the Bumper, Plastic Grill, Chrome Grill, and Valence to see if the Core Support can be fixed with a new to me LE model Fender and Mud Guard from Pick-a-Part.
I also have a 1991.5 Core Support that I could use, but don't want to get into the A/C and Cooling System.

The '91.5 core support will not help you much if you need a core support for a '89.
Wrong radiator brackets, grille, head light location, ETC as well as the A/C system changes you mention.

'89 and '90 are the same.
Then there is a '91.0 support for the Non I/C'ed motor with the new grille style, and a different '91.5 core support for the I/C'ed 12V.
I believe the '91.5 is very similar if not the same as the '92 and '93 core support.

Nope my '91.0 W-250 with a NON I/Ced motor and the newer grille style is sitting right outside my window. That is a half year only core support right there.
My black '85 crew cab also has a '91.0 core support that I use with the newer style grille to fit a 24V intercooler around the Non I/C'ed radiator.
