Question Chrome dress-up kit for the ol' 12V?

Ok, I was thumbing through some old TDR magazines and found this ad. Given, the ad shows a 12V p-pump engine.......but the valve covers are the same for the VE stuff too. Does anyone (including Cummins) still sell this stuff? I'm guessing it's old news and has been discontinued long ago. Chrome valve covers would look kinda neat on the ol' 12V.

Yeah, you can still get the polished rocker boxes and the chrome heater lines. If you know somebody who can polish aluminum, get your stuff polished and then all you need are the heater lines.

So all that bling is stock components you just polished out. I didn't realize the rocker boxes were aluminum. Just didn't pay attention I reckon. I found a kit on the internet for simulated chrome, nickle, etc. plating do it yoursef at home kind of deal that appears to be pretty nice. Was thinkn bout trying it out. Anyone here tried it or heard much about it. I caint remember the name of it. It on the home comp.

Yes its a 2nd gen and it and my 1st gen looked realy bad when I got them. Its all paint belive it or not I started polishing and the huge grinder started smoking so I just had to bead blast and paint it all. I ran the hard line so that it wouldn't rub on anything, it use to go over the top the the IP and I just wanted to be diff. Thanks for the kind words. I wanted to see what yall thought befor I said it was paint. The intake and bat hold down I made myself and will get some more pics. This it the truck its all in. Its a seeper. Many 3rd gens have made the mistake of thinking they can out run this old farm truck same goes for my 1st gen.
