Center Link Install

I have to replace the center link on my 2wd 91 350. What do I need to know? I un-bolted everything but it appears that everything is pressed in?

You need a tie rod remover. you should be able to rent one at your local auotzone or napa?

Should look something like this....

Or sometimes you'll get one of these...

Both work...but with the huge tie rods our diesels use the first one is the preferred unit...IMO...

Dooohhh...forgot that you'll need to remove your idler arm (pass. side) and the pitman arm (on steering box) as well.

Make sure you get a good quality idler arm. Many come with Nylon bushings that loosen rather quickly and you get a death wobble that'll make you consider purchasing a cemetary plot.
