Make sure the Lil' Mopar Tech brings appropriate foot gear!!
ZAAR: I usually start at my buddy's stand at gate 1. I plan to have my 1982 D150 (The Beige B*st*rd) in the show field if it makes it to Carlisle on Friday. Looks like a farm truck with an aluminum tool box and probably an American flag hanging off it. I'll likely be wearing a General Lee orange t-shirt, Green boonie hat and possibly shorts.

I will definitely try to track everyone down been watching all these awesome trucks on here and don’t know a face to save my life. Then again I’m pretty ghostly too.

Bad news: due to electrical gremlins and general chicanery the Beige B*st*rd AKA the Tan Turd will. It be going Carlisle this year.

Good news: I will be going and putting the Jeep in the showfield instead.

Bad news: Tman will have to haul BOTH big lovelies for me. Not enough room in the Jeep 😃

Good meeting you Mr Zaar. Met up with a few 1st gen guys, and it was a great day. Drank 2 of Oliver's beers in trade for a case of 24 oz Poland Spring water bottles.

Sat around with Ollie, Mr. Fusion Tim, walter, Ollie's daughter Charlotte and a few others. The ball and chain was with me, the as well as my old pirate Beagle, and Stan her brother in tow.

Fun times. Got a bit hot mid 90's f, otherwise was fun as usual hanging out with good people.
Left there looking forward to next year.

Amazingly enough, the pirate and her brother didn't mind being rolled around in mid 90's heat. They fell asleep as soon as the AC was cranked on in the car, and didn't hear a peep out of them the whole ride home. Wife fell asleep too.

Had a fun day..

We just got in with the RC. It was a pretty long day on the road.
The show was awesome. It was good to meet Zaar.

The weather was great. It was pretty reasonable temps for July in Pa. It only rained a bit 20 minutes north of he show on the way home.

Great time on Sat hanging out with Tim, T-man, his wife Cathy, and a group of other Mopar friends. I spent quite a bit of time chatting with a bunch of people that had questions on the RC 12V swap.
Charlotte had a great time and we all got in a Hellcat "Thrill Ride" with Tim [MrFusion] and Walter on Fri morning.

The RC ran at good boost PSI / EGT #S and with NO mechanical issues.

It was a great time, but after 10+ hours on the road and a long weekend, I am hitting the hay.

The RC averaged 17.8 MPG on the trip.
The best tank was 19.0.

The worst was 15.92
The worst tank was only 140 miles between fill ups. It included mostly 80/85 MPH to keep up with traffic in Pa.. It also included some start and stop traffic on the highway for an accident and some cruising around the show in 1st gear checking out the place on Wed night.

The windows where down the whole time, triangle wing widows and all. We did about 75MPH most of the time, loaded down with 180 cans of beer, 15 gallons of water, lots of ice, a small but loaded tool box, three people and a bunch off camping gear, so I can see the dip in MPG.

The RC steered dead straight and smooth even at 85, you could take your hand off the wheel style straight. Nice to see after a cut the frame in half and use two different frames / re-assembled with several different trucks worth of parts, while changing a lot of stuff in the process.

Guys I didn't get a chance to head over to the show field to meet and greet. Honestly I never go to the show field as I really go for part parts and more parts. I will say I messed up in that I didn't buy a few 17" Alcoa dually wheels when I first saw them and they were gone when I went back to get them when I was done. But I did score a pair of 1991-93 W350 dually hubs and factory 6" rear blocks for $100. That was my best deal of the day. What did everyone else find and what good deals did you get?

Had a great time hanging with Ollie, Charlotte, Walter, Tman, Cathy, SlateMD (crazy bugger in the Viking helmet), Foxmxracer, and a bunch of other folks. I traded Ollie some local IPA's for some from up his way. Drank a few too!

Bummed I missed ZAAR.

I probably walked past Freightrain in the vendor area.

I'm already looking forward to next year!!

He would have ignored you as his eyes were filled with parts, parts, and more parts. No room in there for a guy with a General Lee shirt, and boonie hat.

Good seeing ya, Tim. Did your girlfriends show up after I left? I hear they made a scene at the show, looking for ya !
