YupTim,they are pretty good engines.They have a different turbo than the SDL, that seem to be more common than the Garret T-3 (I think, could be a T-4) that is in the OM603. According to Wikipedia, the 603 is a problematic engine, but I don't see how surviving this carnage at 345K miles can really be called problematic...Mark
