Those are on the non intercooled. Your cycling switch should protect the compressor. Fyi, if the hoses are tight, they can endure higher pressures than the compressor.
The biggest fault on conversion's is poor choice in oil and incorrect charge. More freon will only make less cold air if you are over chsrged. Your just loading up the compressor.

I am pretty sure the hex plug on the side of the drier is just that, a plug,
i have a few of them from when I replaced mine.
On other Mopar applications I have seen high pressure cutout switches mounted there.
All of our pressure switches are mounted on the h-valve (expansion valve)

I am at a loss. I don't see any dye anywhere now, unless it is a leaky shrader. Don't know how it could hold pressure for two days then dump all the freon overnight.

How's the compressor health? Front seal? Yes shader valves leak. Some caps have a rubber seal. Did you put r134a fitting on?
