a/c compressor - air cmpressor
Im not sure what brand of compressor our trucks use (sanden?) but they are a rotary compressor and do not work for an air compressor. You need to look for a York compressor, found on lots of older ford and mopar cars and trucks. Google "onboard air compressor" and ou will be amazed what info is out there about this subject.
cool thanks. i wrecked my condensor so i was scrapping the ac anyways and was just hoping it would work. can i run that compresoor still on there with no refrigerant and just take the lines off or will it dry up?
It will be fine. The clutch should not engage with no freon in the system but it would be a good ideal to unplug it just in case. The compressor will technically never turn, just the clutch pully.
