Question a.c.

Is there a way I can wire around the ecu,on my 93,so the air will work? The ecu on my truck has went bad again, and I can't afford another one right now. I allready have a switch on my o.d.,and a firewall mouted voltage regulator,so the only other thing I would need to do is put a push button on the pre heater. Or am I missing something?

Yes, you can tap into the ground wire on the A/C relay and run a switch to ground. The relay is the one furtherest to the rear, and the wire is dark blue with an orange stripe. Put a scotchlock on it and run a wire to ground. The A/C compressor will run whenever you flip the switch.

You'll be surprised what mechanics will tell you wont work when you mention doing it yourself and "cheat" them out of money.
