Bull Bar on a 1st gen ????

Have any of u guys? Put a bull bar on your 1st gen? I thinking of puting one on mine, my truck is a two wheel drive 3500. I lifted the frount end up and the truck looks good setting up,it now has 6inchs between the top of the tire to the bottom of the flaire. It needs a push bar or something. I would like to see some pictures of some of your trucks with grille grards and such. Thanks TBoling

i have one sitting around and it was on a 90 d150 when we got it and personally i think they're ugly becuase they don't match anything on a first gen. looks exactly like what it is, a bunch of tubing attached to your front bumper. i like the whole replacement bumpers or the dealer installed grille guard like RICHIE-O has on his 93 w250

you used to have a chrome one on it i though......

that center pieice (bull bar) looks weird all by itself but looks real good with the peices that come over to protect the headlights

Thats the one that came on it. It was powdercoat black. I had to blast it and repaint. I never had a chrome one.

It wouldn't help anything if you hit a deer or somthing.

Mine is not a stout unit either. When the original owner popped a deer it pushed it into the grill and he never adjusted the bumber brakets back out. It wore a hole in the grill where the top bull bar was rubbin. It did save the sheet metal and saved a broken grill but it is not strong by any means.

Dar, I just can't get enough of that truck of yours! Dunno what it is about it, but it's one of the sweetest 1st gens I've ever seen. There's some fantastic trucks out there, (Tater93, BC847, Stomp, Blackford, Schamran etc etc... the list is thankfully long! ) but for some reason yours just stands out.
Sorry for the hijack, I just had to comment again.

Thanks Keran, it not quite as strait as it looks in the pics, theres a little dent in the bed on the pass side and a tinny bit of rust on the rocker under the drivers door thats killing me.
