The stock turbo with a 12 cm wastegated housing would work fine with an HT3B. Putting an HTT Stage III kit on there wouldn't hurt anything, but it's not a "must."

twins

I was wondering, what are these HTT stage 3 and 4 kits that you guys are talking about? Also I too have pondered the idea of home made twins. What do you guys think about using an HX 35 or maybe an HY35 (to spool even faster) for the primary and using an HX40 for the secondary. Those turbos are readily available and not too expensive. Would the boost out of the 35 be too much for the intake of a 40? I would love to have twins but paying $4000 for them when I can fab everything but the turbos is just not justifiable. Twins would sound so sweeeeeet screaming out of my stack.

the 40 is way too small for a bottome turbo from what i have ready. unless you want 2 just so you can say you have 2, the bottom turbo should be significantly larger. also i believe the 9cm on the hy would be way too small. i am looking into a possible hx-35 and hx-60 combo right now.
