Brake question

I finally got the crew on the road yesterday. But I have a problem with the brakes. The brakes stop good and the pedal feels good, it just doesn't return after you push it. I have to pull the brake pedal back up with my foot to release the brakes. Could this be the master cylinder or something else?

Thanks for any ideas.

Sorry forgot to mention but the booster is new. I have no idea how old the master is or the other brake componts.

Do you have a vaccum leak therefore not allowing the booster to function?

Not sure about when bleeding the brakes, my wife was pushing the pedal. But she didn't mention anything.
The small line from the booster going over to the driver fender was attached to some kind of sensor, the fitting broke off of this when I tried to remove the line. I glued it back on, but I will check for a leak.

Thanks for the ideas.

The sensor i believe that you are talking about would be the low vacum sensor switch. What i would try is if that is leaking is take the line off of the switch and plug the line then see if the pedel will move back up normaly if it does i would say that you hae a leak on the piece you glued back together.

It sounds like your booster is not releasing when you let off on the pedal.

Just went through it. I would say wanna is dead on. I did have to bleed the lines 3 or 4 times to get a good bleed. Now they are back to normal. Good Luck. New , in this day and age could still be faulty.

Ok checked for vacum leaks last night. Could not find any. So I guess I will get the booster off and return it. Thanks for your help. I will let you know what happens.

Well just got the booster changed out and it fixed it. The seal on the rod from the pedal to the booster was bad. I changed it out in the autozone parking lot today during lunch. It is much better now. Thanks for all the ideas and help.
