brake problems ???
I just replaced master cylinder and brake booster. Now my pedal does not come all the way back up. I matched the shaft length on the booster with the one I removed. Could it be a bad master cylinder or brake booster. Brake pedal is firm and and it seems like the brakes are sticking and if I manually pull pedal back up the brakes disengage. Any thoughts?
Well regardless of whether you have a power brake booster or not...your brake pedal should rise back up to it's original position once you have made a brake application. The booster is only there to make the brake application easier.
So if the pedal is not rising back up to it's original position, and your brakes are staying locked up, then I'd venture to say it's a faulty master cylinder.

I just delt with this same problem in my brothers 92. It ended up being the adjusting rod between the booster and the master. If that is adjusted too far into the master cylinder plunger it will not allow the plunger too to come far enough back making it feel like the brakes are still on even when you are driving. It will keep building pressure in your brake system every time you push the brakes and will not release the pressure until that plunger will go all the way back. Try shortening the adjusting rod a little and see if that helps.

thanks guys I will take the master cylinder off and adjust the booster rod and see if that fixes it I went with a new master cylinder instead of a rebuilt 1 to keep from having problems.
Pulled apart again to check measurement between booster and master cylinder. Compared new booster to old one. Found that the new booster was sticking. I pushed pedal in to move booster shaft in and out seems to move more freely now. Tested in yard and can get rear brakes to lockup. Re-bled front brakes. Will road test tomorrow defiantly better braking.
