Brake cable replacement
Brake cable replacement
My parking brake and antilock light came on and stayed on the other day. I've been reading the posts on this problem, so no big deal. But when I went to put on my parking brake the cable snapped on me. Brakes work fine except the park brake. Is this an easy fix? Thanks for any help
Re:Brake cable replacement
I had my brake cables changed about 3 yrs ago. If I remember right you have 3 cables. 1 from your pedal to a T where the idividual cables from each wheel come in. That "T" is right along the frame on the drivers side. I don't recall it being a very hard job. If it is one of the idividual cables to the wheels you will have to pull the brake drum. If it is the main cable I remember it being a pain but nothing you probably cant fiqure out, it just gets a little tight in some places. I'm sure someone else will jump in here and help me out but I hope this helps. Scott
