borgeson install - now slight problem

did my borgeson install today and WOW!! definately worth it!!

Problem now is, seeing how I didn't have a grinder or file handy, I drilled a "pilot hole" for the set screw and of course, as luck would have it, went to darn deep and now leak fluid

Anybody have any tips on fixing this?

Don't want to have to change the gear box if i don't hafta.....

hmm if you be steady and carefull, you can weld the hole up, and the take a grinder and gently re grind the grooves.

That's a very simple fix.

If you don't have any, get yourself a stick, or a dozen, of two-part plumber's epoxy putty.

ACE hardware, TruValue, or any decent hardware store will have it.

WalMart, Advance, and all the other chain-gangs also have it; but, they have it labeled something line Instant Steel, or somesuch.

What it amounts to is a cigar-sized stick of two-colored putty.

Cut yourself off a nickel-sized slice, roll it in your hand and work it up like Play-Doh.

When you feel it starting to get warm, and the color is now consistent, dab it in the hole, pushing it in there good.

Of course, you already wiped off most of the oil/dirt with some kind of thinner.

Coat the inside splines of the coupler with anti-sieze and slide it back on there, lock down the screw, and no more leak.

Don't ask me how I know so much about fixing this leak.
