No doubt, Bill I do feel lucky to have snagged them. I can't use the fuel yet, but it's sure nice to know it's there The H1C supports ok right to about 24-26psi. The truck pulls strong and there's just a dark haze from the stack. I'd say maybe 200-225 RWHP. If I step the fuel up any higher (basically anything over 1/4 throttle ) boost goes through the roof and the dark haze goes to black, but no real 'proportional' power increase. Lots of potential, I think, just gotta pack some air in there

Here's a PM from Don M~ , shows just how much he knows about 1st gens ..

I remember build these injectors. They are small comapred to a POD. I built them for a guy in Missouri originally. He had an older Cummins engine with the 9mm cylindder head. Make certain you have the 9mm cylinder head first. If you are looking for high power, these would not be for you. They are mostly for mileage increases.

I like the part about 'if you are looking for high power, these would not be for you'. Bad mouthing his own product.

Maybe they're not for big power compared to what he's building these days..I don't know. What I do know is they suit the needs of my humble little truck just fine, and that's all that matters (to me)And who knows, it's a long walk from a stock H1C to an HTT stage IV. Maybe a real compressor housing would be enough to clean things up. We must remember that I have the lamest of lame turbos. The only way it could possibly get any lamer is if I threw a 21cm housing in the mix

depending on the pump tweaks and how much the injector really flow i think HTT stage III or IV would clear things up quite a bit. I running a stage III and at a full throttle run it clears up quite good.

I`m "only" running POD`s and I noticed a HUGE improvement from the H1C to the hybrid, the stocker is good to about 25 psi and no more, falls on it`s face big time. I would go that route again, and if you are "planning" on 270-300np`s (yeah right ) the stage IV would do you fine, just my .02

I just did a bonzai run on the way home (steep hill) and I was sitting at 1250 pre turbo @80mph in 4th, about 2900 rpm's. 40psi and the coal was just a-rollin. With my stock injectors, I ran that same hill at 65mph, and 1000 degrees POST turbo. My goal is to have 270-300 RWHP that I can use every day WITHOUT adding an intercooler. The HTBG and water/meth will get me there from here, I think.
do you have your fuel screw in as far as it an go before runaway? your pyro numbers sound low. Id also like to get a htb2 as well but hard to find from anybody locally and they are trying to steer me towards a b1 so im not sure what im gonna go with i haven't heard much about a b1 as a single

Underpsi: The 1250 pyro # was not WOT..there's a cop that sits at the top of that hill a lot and I already had her wound up to 80...in a 55. It's just a waste to really stand on it. I took a 'gauge video' yesterday. It didn't come out good enough to post up, but basically I came around a corrner in 3rd running 0psi and 300* and floored it all the way to 2800. Boost went from 0-40/pegged in about a half second (wastegate wired open) and when I lifted to shift, the pyro was knocking on 1400. Needless to say, loading it even harder in 4th would have yielded hotter temps yet. To answer your question, yes, my pump is pretty well cranked. I've been meaning to start a thread on runaway characteristics, but haven't got around to it. See, my idle is under control, and I can go another 3/4 turn and still have 4-5 threads on the idle screw to compensate. Engine will snap back to idle fine, but when running through the gears, rpms come down slowly between shifts. Thing is, weather I go 1/3, 1/2 3/4 or another full turn in on the screw, the slowly falling idle stays the same...but the fuel keeps increasing. Anyway, I've got it backed off to where it falls off smartly between gears for safety sake--I've already proved I've got more fuel than I need anyway! Plus, I think my pump is a bit of a turd rebuild, but that's another thread.

You don't want it to hang between shifts - that's "edgy" behavior.

I know what you mean about it being a waste to stand on it. I haven't felt the accelerator hit the floor in about a month.
