Black mirrors?

Does anyone know of a source for black mirrors for our trucks. im working on eliminating as much chrome as possible. Door handles look fine to me, but ive got a chip in my drivers side mirror, and might as well switch over. I could paint a pair, but would rather get some done right. Thanks.

Yeah the mirrors are plastic. I stripped the chrome flakey stuff off and painted mine black. I have seen a lot of black mirrors on ebay, but not sure on the quality.

Painted one. mirror itself turned out good. The cover for the attachment is chipping, so gonna strip it and use adhesive before painting. It looks real sharp though, Ill get some pics if anyones tired of chrome too...

The mirror heads were easy. I already had a chip in one, so just started peeling. There was still a trim of chrome right around the glass that I couldnt get off. The paint is chipping there though. Im gonna strip it back down and try getting all that off. The mirror base, however, was just painted chrome. No way to get it off. Im afraid sandblasting would scar the finish since its plastic. Im gonna strip it back down too and use my paint adherent then paint it with a good krylon plastic paint I picked up.

That would take some engineering but ive thought about doing it (I guess you mean 2nd/3rd gen mirrors.) Either mounting the mirrors in current holes or eliminating part of vent window to raise the fold outs up a little.

Sorry I must have bee a little confusing I meant the towing mirrors for our first gens, the one that connect to the door in 4 places. I don't really know how to explain them. Sorry about that
