bad injectors? pricing for new

My truck has heavy black smoke after being driven and restarted after 5-10minutes off.
I assume one or more injectors are leaking.
All I am interested in is fuel economy.
I was looking at the Dynomite Diesel injectors 899345LPM, best price I could find is $474, if anyone knows of a better deal let me know.
Thanks

Any bosch pump shop should be able to rebuild your stockers pretty darn cheap.

x2 on that, if you are just looking for a stock replacement then get them rebuilt.

Is it just a puff when you start it? That's normal 1st gen operation.

More than a puff, black cloud, only when hot and has set for 5-10 minutes.
thanks

Puff, cloud, same difference. As long as it clears up in a couple seconds it's normal operation.

$474... is that a set?? I priced them at ADVANCE and was in shock!! The stock ones for the '91 were about $78 each... the '89 injectors were, like, $280 apiece... I walked out in a daze and thought that I had better think of something else to help the milage.........

As far as increasing mileage, couldnt you get new tips instead of a whole new set of injectors?
