Auto Transmission trouble
I got a 4 speed auto in my 91 1/2 that is broke down.
Last spring it was slipping under low load at 25 MPH, I changed oil and filter and setup the bands. I took it for a drive and it still slipped, I made a couple slow runs to see if it shifted well, on the last run I floored it from a stop it moved a couple feet then a big bang and it was done would not move any direction, no noise total distance on new oil about 2 miles.
I now have taken it apart expecting to find a broken shaft or hub(the bang)
And a burned clutch pack(the slipping), but no broken stuff and all clutches look nice. The oil was dark before and after the oil change and the magnet was also fuzzy before and after.
I am wondering if the torque could act this way?
Thanks
