IIRC I was able to get the bolt out after I took out the gauge cluster. I just couldn't get the shaft to slide out. It's just me and standing on my head is pretty much impossible. I need to hire a trained ape to get under the dash for me.

no bashing here but how did you get a well known member from north of the border to travel that far south?

I thought that Bigfoot was over 7 feet tall. I have a step brother that's about the right size but I haven't heard from him in 10 years or so. He's welder up in Oregon somewhere last I heard.

With my back I have to do everything from the top down. Anything that involves crawling under something takes a lot of planning and I wind up to sore to do much of anything else for 2 weeks. Right now I'm debating whether to take the truck to Jiffy Lube to get the diff oil changed. Otherwise it's a lot of jacking and crawling and grease and dirt in the eyes kind of thing.

It doesn't show it, but there is a bolt and nut that holds the the pivot rod [part 21] in place on the steering column support that needs to be removed before the rod will slide out.
