The Napa store is a lot closer and the battery has better specs than the CAT battery. The closest CAT store to me is 22 miles away.

Thanks for the input.

l’ve had two, they are GREAT, REALLY GREAT !. Built to last, and like you say, work great in the cold.
They just seem to keep going, and going, and going.
A little expensive, but you get what you pay for, sometimes, not always.
in my experience, this is one tough battery. Not sure who makes it for CAT, nor to what plate spec’s, but it’s a HARDY BATTERY.
Cost is the only factor.

Thanks for mentioning it.

This Canadian Napa battery looks a lot like the CAT.

Can't find the 7234 battery on the canadian site...

Well, the 2 Odyssey batteries came yesterday and I just installed them. The battery seems to crank over just as fast as the die hard, 1150 cca one that it is replacing. I discovered that the battery isolator was bad, it was easy, I installed the truck one first and when I went to do the 2nd one, I accidentally grounded the positive cable from the isolator and it sparked. It may explain why both batteries tended to go at the same time...Mark

I went down to Napa today and got the battery. Compared to the O'Really one it's a monster! It's taller and longer and 21 pounds heavier.

Here it is installed in the truck.

Hopefully I won't have to charge it all the time and the starter will stop clicking.

That's the battery I use, 7237. Just replaced it last weekend with another. Lasted 7 years and might have lasted a little longer if the truck got driven more.

Same here except it was one battery. Had to buy two so I went with lead acid Duralast's from O'Reilly. Mine were Platinums.
I replaced my original Mopar's(mistake) which are still alive in a 12v.
