Still tire shopping

i've run a bunch of different AT tires now. the best ones on my truck so far have been BFG rugged terrain a/t. i drive in the rain a ton here in florida. as well as sand, slick georgia mud. i drove in South Dakota this winter and they were so-so in the snow, but great on the slick roads.
my old man swears by the hankook dynapro a/t, has them on everything he owns(except his highway queen). he lives in south dakota and punishes his tires. they're quite reasonably priced as well.
avoid anything pro-comp, i had pro comp Xtreme a/t on my truck before. pure junk. they don't clean out in mud, they are horrible in the rain. have no clue what they would be good for...

Never had an issue with a single general tire this far. I've had someone put 180PSI of air in their altimax (family member, cough) still working several years later haha.

Right now it is the General Grabbers and the BF Goodrich KO2s. I was looking at Dick Cepek fun countrys but I can't get them locally. I can have them mounted and shipped(100 miles) Or I could go pick them up.( Sort of a PITA)

Yeah, lucky. The tire pressure sensor was on saying low tire pressure. I hooked my mechanical tire gauge to it and it spun it around a few times. Vac the air out and back to 50PSI. Everything was good years later but that was an escape of death for sure.

Where did he find a pump that would push 180 PSI ?! My 2 stage Kellogg compressor cuts out at 175 PSI as most do. I could see where it would hit 180 PSI once they heat up a little.
My uncle is a little hard of seeing and put 85 psi in his passenger car rated tires on his Jeep Grand Cherokee. He read the 35 PSI Max as 85 PSI. He asked me to check them because 85 psi didn't "seem right". The air compressor at the gas station took "forever" to get to 85 PSI. Lucky for him it was a cold day.

In have 3 trucks I purchased these tires for...1997 f350 4X4, 1984 Toyota 4X4, and a 1994 2500 4X4 Cummins 2500. All 3 sets have run out well and balanced easily. In my opinion they are just as good and much less expensive than the BFG A/T tire we run on a couple other trucks. I bought the first set initially because Tire Rack had them on sale and they had many good reviews, but in my opinion they seem to be comparable in quality to some other brands that cost more. I will say they do pick up a lot of small stones though.

ive gotten good dependable miles on many bfg's, the new ko2 at's are out, im 9 months in with them, they were released when I was ready to replace, at 1350. a set, im still not over the purchase, but with my 12.50 35" 17" size I got some upgrade out of it, new ko2's went to load range "E" at 65psi from "D" at 50, that helped load carrying, on my 6 week summer trip, I realized 17 mpg's up from 16, the new rubber compound is supposed to up overall miles in wear, we will see on that, also the ride at higher pressure seemed better, immediately, but the old tires, were, so take that for its worth, im happy on the bfg's.

My vote would go to the new KO2s. I haven't run them, however.
