Anti freeze leak
Anti freeze leak
I've been leaking antifreeze which appears to be comming from the bottom hose. The last time this happened I took off and inspected the hose, cleaned it up and put it back on. I replaced the lower clamp with one of them spring loaded clamps and it stopped for a while and it started again last night.
I notice my heat gauge moves quite a bit into the middle and I'm assuming when the thermostate opens up it comes back down.
I'm going to replace the lower rad hose to see if this helps and might even put on a lower poundage rad cap.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so what were the solutions?
Thanks,
Ron

my truck will leak a little around the hoses, top and bottom, if the clamps aren't super tight. New hoses. I have a 6 month old cummins tstat, goes up past 3/4, then drops down past half when it opens. I don't trust the guage more than anything else. I guess I didn't give you a solution though.
