Truck was dropped off at the rebuild shop. With any luck, I'll be served with dignity, and they will do a great job on the rebuild.

Time will tell.

By golly you are right! I just checked and there is a plug there, it was tucked up under the vacuum sensor. Never noticed it and nothing in the manual ever referred me to it, just the key on/off/on procedure...

So, you upgrading the tranny while it is out? You plow with this truck right?

that all depends on what they're willing to offer. This isn't a custom trans shoppe. Their options are minimal. I'm the slowest plow jockey on the planet, as I'm super careful. We discussed an upgraded converter, but otherwise, I believe it will be returned to stock.
