A518 band adjustment? and Pressure turnup?
Alright well I'm gonna change my trans fluid and adjust the bands for the dyno day in 2 weeks. I probably will adjust my TV cable and get my tranny shifting to my liking. I've been searchin through the forums on how to adjust the bands, and haven't found the best results? is there a sticky on how to adjust them? or what's the best way to set it up? I also found this while searching,

alright thanks, I just want to get this trans set up good for the dyno, and see if i can get as much life as I can out of this tranny til I get all the money together for the 47rh swap.
Yeah I think that would be the best way to go for me. I just wanna get a built 47rh in it and be done and not have to worry about the tranny anymore, It would be a big thing to check off the list, and it would definately be a whole different truck. But til then I gotta get this stock trans setup right.
Alright so I was talkin to my friend, and he has an 87 chev with a 700 r4 and if you adjust the tv cable wrong on that tranny, it will trash it real quick. He's done it beforeand trashed a tranny and said he had to have a transmission place adjust it on the next one. Is these a518s as sensitive as that? Or do you have to do it exactly right, or can you just set it up to your own liking and it'll be fine?
And also if i turn up the pressure like that link shows, how much do i turn it up? and will it just help making a stronger shift and keep the trans from slipping less (not the tc but the tranny)? Also if I increase the pressure, will it help the Torque Converter tighten up quicker? or will it only affect the valve body and shifting?

Yeah i just looked at that, and that pretty much told me what i needed to know! thanks man!
But i still have a question about the TV cable, like i said my friend said that he adjusted his tv cable on his chev and toasted his tranny, so is our a518's as touchy as the 700 r4? I'm just kinda paranoid to mess with it after he told me this, he said i was brave if i messed with it, but I'm sure the dodge tranny's are better
So is it okay if i adjust it to where i want or will I end up ruinin my tranny? thanks
