93 w250 cruise quit but horn works

I changed the steering coupler and may have turned the wheel a couple times. Afterward the cruise isn't working but they horn is. Fuse and vacuum is good. Is my problem still the clock spring?

It's possible. I have seen many clock springs where only one or two functions are affected.

I agree the clock spring is probably shot. It is best to strap the steering wheel to the pedals or chair when doing a job like that to eliminate rotation while you work.

I bet I have a spare clock spring in the shop if you end up needing one.

I've had some success taking an XJ Cherokee clock spring apart and re-soldering the wires where they tore out of the circuit board. Pretty delicate operation but doable.

Welcome to DTR.
