92 W250 excab 5sd 240,000 miles,had springs rearched (front)about a year ago.now im getting a very loud clunk from the front axel area when driving curvy back roads.just did front bearing,everything thing there is tight,sounds like the springbushings are sliding on the bolts that hold them in place,sound like its getting louder&louder,those bolts are also tight.TY

 

how do the rivets that hold the front sping hangars look?

They tend to get loose and let the hangars move around. If so cut them out and replace with bolts and thread locker.

 

I had an 86 gasser that did that, I never ck`ed the spring mount rivets but I do know that it had a bent shackle and wasted spring bushing on the right front spring. If I soaked it with some lube it`d go away for a couple of days.
