91 W250 Replacing Fuseable Links? Ft Worth

OK all, Im just west of Ft Worth Texas and looking for a shop or individual to replace my fuseable links with fuses. Id like a shop or individual that has experience with the electrical of the Gen 1s. I know there are some very good how too's on here, but I do not do well with electronics so I will not attempt. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Eric

Yes, Im having some electrical problems. I also want to be able to replace fuses by simply replacing them if i need to. I dont want to have to soldering in links in the mountains of Montana and Idaho.

I just finished a lot of electrical work on my truck in the area of the fusible links. I think there are five or six of them. They are simply smaller pieces of wire than the current they are supposed to carry with a special "hypalon" insulation that doesn't melt and burn when the link is overloaded and melts. I suspect they are more reliable than the fuses they would replace until they are overloaded and then they are a complete PITA to fix. So far mine are all OK but one has been replaced with another fusible link by a P.O. if any blow on my I'll probably bite the bullet and replace them all with fuses. I'm looking at a company on
Amazon Amazon
which makes this stuff.

I've been looking at this company Blue Seas to see if they have a fuse block for the Maxi fuses but I don't see one. The best I could find is individual fuse holders with or without pigtails for splicing. I guess I would have to go with the Maxi fuse pigtail holders that I could splice into the existing wiring. I would use Western-union splices and solder them and cover them with sealed shrink tubing. The Maxi fuses go up to 80A as far as I can tell. They have a sealing cap also for the holder.

Again, if yours are intact then you should probably leave them alone. They aren't prone to burning out for no reason, just a PITA to fix when they do. BUT if you're set of replacing them I would use the Maxi-fuses. Somebody may have a list of the sizes needed for each one.

I replaced mine with Maxi Fuses and the one that carries the IGN power with a Maxi size fuse. When my FSS started failing it kept blowing my maxi fuse and shutting the truck off. So I would have to carry several spares in case the FSS failed. Since then I deleted the FSS, installed a pull cable, and the circuit breaker. No issues since. I also replaced the FL for the alternator with a fuse and upgraded to 2ga cable.
