91 heater still blowing hot.

Well onto my next issue. It was about 85 degrees and my defroster is still blowing hot air. When I move the temp selector the heat/defrost lever will move in unison with it. Even with the temp selector in the cold selection I am still getting hot air. Whats going on? How do I fix this.
I guess I don't really understand what you mean by "When I move the temp selector the heat/defrost lever will move in unison with it." My truck has one sliding lever for temp control. The selection of where the air comes out is by buttons.
I think...and am certainly not sure...that the temp is simply controlled by a diverter door. If you want hot air, you get air from the heater core, if you want cool air (outside air) you get air from that bypasses the heater core. The temp of the air you get in the cab is controlled by the mix of these two. Could just be an issue of the control cable being broken or not hooked up.

My truck does not have A/C.
The heater selection controls on my truck are not controlled by buttons. It has a sliding lever just like the temperature selector. Same as 1970-1997 Ford trucks, and 70's -80's GM products.
When I move the temp lever to the left (cool side) the other lever under it that controls where the air is directed moves to the left as well. I can hold the selector lever in position while moving the temp lever but this takes two hands.

Drop your glovebox out of the way. Back towards the rear of the glovebox is like a clip, you can push it back and the glovebox will swing down towards the floor.
You can view the heater box assembly. Then watch the cables on top of the box move as you move the temp lever to the cool side, sounds like you have something binding up. You might be able to see what is in the way or binding.
If the problem isn't at the heater box, then it may be right behind the heater control panel. You'll need to remove the dash bezel, then the heater control panel. Or you might not have to remove it, you may be able to move the temp lever back and forth with dash bezel removed, and possibly see your problem or where its binding.
