90 pump leaking

My dad has a 90 4x4 and the pump is leaking around where the throtle shaft goes into the pump on top. It is not spewing it out, just a drip every 2-3 seconds or so.

It doesn't have the power it should either.

Is this a difficult thing to have repaired? I thought it was just doggy since it has 3.08 gears in it with the TF727, but i drove one setup like it a while back and it was much more responsive.

Milleage is unknown, but I would guess around 250K maybe. The spedo was not workign when we got it due to the little gear ruducer being seized. We just put the sensor direct on the trans so now it reads 40mph when you are going 60.

The pump cover has to be removed and then a new Sleeve can be pressed in. Its not easy but its not all that hard. Maybe the Pump needs some adjustment to help it from being doggy.

Where would be a good source to just buy a reman pump?

How much cash would we be talking about here?

Well It cost me $23 to have mine fixed But I took the pump cover off myself and took it to an Injection shop. They pressed the Brass sleeve out and put the New updated steel one in with some kind of Glue that came with the sleeve. They only charged me for the parts. I am not sure what it would cost to have the Pump Cover R&Rd. I do know it sure is nice not to have that Drip anymore.
