A Little help with an 89 250

I am looking at buying a 89 250 12v w/ 93k on it. Is 6500 a good price? How hard would it be to install an intercooler? The truck is immaculate (new paint, fresh interior) . What do you guys think. I sold a 03 Ho QC to buy my wife a minivan(total nightmare) but I get my new toy a 1st gen CTD!

That does sound like a great price.

Any intercooler install would be custom.

There aren't any aftermarket ic kits? Could I use one off a 91.5-93?

Banks has discontinued their intercooler kit, they were the only ones who made one.

The core support has to be cut. There may also be packaging issues with the A/C condenser.

is the truck 4x4 or 2wd.... auto or 5-speed? even if it's 2wd auto... for a truck under 100k and in immaculate shape $6500 does sound good. if it's 4x4 that's even better.

The only way that would be a good price if it was an immaculate x-cab 5spd 4x4.

It is a 4x4 auto. I don't have any past experience w/ non-ic trucks. how do they respond heat-wise to mods?

my non ic seems to be doing pretty well. the HTT compressor housing helped a TON. you can get toasty pretty quick. the non-ic also have larger injectors from the factory.

haloman, i just sold a 92 club cab 2wd auto for $6500 it was in really nice shape but i feel there is a growing gap between a "good" price and what they are actually selling for.

Ya don't get me wrong but you would think these trucks are gold. I mean I love truck but its not worth that much. I mean my truck has actually gone up in value from when we bought it 7 years ago. I just don't see paying that much for an 17 year old truck. Thats just me.

There's a D350 on ebay right now with a "buy it now" price of 10K.... seems these trucks are getting more valuble all the time.
6500 seems to be average if its in nice shape, not mint but not trashed.....

That is deffinately the exact truck that I want, but there is no way in heck I'm gonna pay 11K for a 14 year old truck. Guess I will just repower a ford with a 12V.
