Hi Gang...FWIW, I'm right in the middle of rebuilding the Trans from our CTD Ramcharger. It is a 3-speed. Everything is apart. Almost all cleaned up. New parts on order. So far nothing has struck me as being in real bad shape. The truck Ramcharger was drivable, but slipping pretty badly, so I decided I would take a crack at it rebuilding. I've done a lot of reading, looking at pics and "playing" with the parts while disassembled. It doesn't appear as though it will be all that difficult of a project. I guess we'll see...

I did buy a couple of parts a month or two ago, just to "lighten the load" so to speak, moneywise. I ordered the rest this past weekend. Still have a couple more parts to buy, but having the kit will allow me to work slowly and make it is right. I have yet to find a replacement separator plate for the Valve Body. One of the check ball holes in mine is in real bad shape. I could probably push the ball through it of I tried.

I'm going to try to take lots of pics, so I might be able to create a "post" about it. Good Luck!!!

Andrew

Clutchflite = Poor Mans Lenco! Ha!
I LOVE driving my Cheetah equipped 65, I just dont think I would want one in my Dually!
I was going through some old pictures and had 3 sets of Maxie exhaust manifolds hangig on the wall! Picked up a 63 Dodge sedan at the Pick Your Part in Sylmar, less engine of course. The yard couldnt believe I would pay them 250.00 for it. Clean, unmolested car. 1978, I think. Flipped it for 1500.00 and thought I made a killing! I had a Clutchflite in a 63 Plymouth wagon (street racer) Made a lot of money with that car!

Of course they are, especially when you powershift them.
But, there is NOTHING more fun than a well set up car with a "Slick Shift" Hemi box!! Guess I will have to get my 68 Cuda back on the road now.

The rear band is a single wrap and they fail under the CTD, the servo's are big and sometimes can ****. Other than that the 727 is a rock!!
