5.9 Cam Timing Events

Anyone have the cam event specs for a stock 12 valve cam? I need to input those into PipeMax in order to calculate the ideal header length.
Thanks!

Duration and lift?

And Intake & Exhaust open and close in degrees.

Hmmm I'll see what I can come up with. My GF got a job with Cummins in their service dept. and is meeting all the right people for my benefit [laugh].

Header+VE low RPM range=no vroom vroom.

You gotta admit that was funny, well at least I think so.

I've been researching this myself and found that if you were to want to build a header to keep the tubes short a possible and pair them in firing order. To do that you need to extend the length of the primary tubes which won't work out very well for our low RPM pumps. So the gain isn't worth the loss, well as far as I understand it. So take that for the grain of salt it's worth. I'm interested if you find different information on the subject. I have the tools/welder, time and extra head laying around to do it myself but decided against it after I found the above information.

The most efficient turbo exhaust provides even exhaust pulsing to the turbine at a resonance tuned length (yes, the shortest tuned length possible). The straight six has a firing order that alternates between the first three and last three cylinders, therefore allowing the use of a dual scroll turbine housing, which is standard on our engines.
The factory log causes errors in the pulse phasing which creates inefficiency.
I am running the numbers through my software and there is power to be had by tuning the exhaust.

I'm interested as well! Never researched or thought of running a tube manifold but I'll be watching! [guitar]

Find anything that makes you think its a good idea to try out?

Another question, what did you end up doing about your injector washers? You were thinking about lapping them in to drop the nozzle as low as possible if I remember right?
