4x4 transmission crossmembers and skidplates, difference between manual and auto?
I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is a difference between 4x4 manual and auto trans crossmembers, frame braces, skidplates, and driveshafts. Thanks-Nick

Driveshaft is shorter on the Getrag
Skid plates are slightly different, but not sure if that matters...never put mine back on after the swap. Crossmembers are different...they bolt into the same place, but the Getrag is beefed up a little bit more. I've used both with my 5sp swap to no ill effects. Also worth mentioning the NP205 has a different spline count on the input between the two (ie an auto TC won't bolt up to a manual tranny). |
