I got mine from a ebay store after a new dealer one got bent up and they wouldnt fix it. It came with the ball joint pressed in and has lasted about 3000 miles longer than what the dealers did so far. Only paid 75 or so shipped to.

For the door latch, pull it out of the door and soak it in a can of diesel for a while and clean the crap out of it. Dry it off really well then re-lube it and re-install.

It'll probably last a bit longer. (I nursed mine along that way for 3-4 months last winter this way) Hopefully long enough for you to find one in a junk yard or a classified somewhere.....

Upper control arms are the same from a D150 to D350, 1980-1993. The only difference is that on the diesels, and 4000 lbs front ends the y used a HD upper ball joint. But other then the size of the shaft on the ball joint being bigger the ball joint will screw into any upper control arm.

Only thing you'll need is a HD 4000lb ball joint if you grab a used one from another truck. Unless of course it already has the big ball joint. The eccentric cam bushings were the same from the late 60's on up to the mid 90's.

When I redid my upper control arms on my D350 I used a NOS set of bushings from a late 60's/early 70's chrysler C-body I had kicking around. Fit perfect and were identical to the originals from the truck.

cool so if i understand right the ball joint is the only diff and the 4000 pound ball joint will fit in place with no problem or do i need to tap and die it first because it is a screw in

They were all screw in no matter the weight rating. The 4000 pound joint is just bigger where it is tapered and goes into the knuckle.

Just watch to make sure the ball joint doesn't back out of the arm. I wailed on the uppers on my 91 and the left one still unscrewed. You may need to tack it or perhaps use Loctite. Keep an eye on it.

This is wrong.

There were improvements made to the 1992/1993 D250/350 Upper Control Arms. Mine broke on the 1989 D250 I used to have on the aft side joint that mates to the frame. I had set of front end parts from a 1992 laying around and noticed that the upper control arm had a doubler in the area where my '89 had broken. Also it was heavier overall.

I then confirmed with Mysteryman that they had re-engineered these arms due to breakage.

Unless you want it to break again I recommend sourcing the 4000 lb front end A arm from a 92/93.
