Thanks guys.
Brandon: I have a boost gauge and a pyro now. I can always turn it down if I have an egt problem. Speed75: got the grille inserts on ebay. (notice a trend?) They are kinda spendy, but they look great. The zip tie to the factory inserts. You almost gotta take the grill off. They might be the reason my ac doesn't work very good too, I might have to get some electric fans next summer. |
thanks for your input...I'm sure you know what your doing with, or without gauges.[whistle]
|
I wouldn't touch anything without gauges, especially with a piece of exhaust pipe for an intercooler. lol

Thanks for the good writeup, it is now in the sticky. :)

Congrats Randy. Well deserved.

do you have to have wheel spacers if ur using dually wheels and puttin them on a d-350
|
Red trucks rock! Can an old guy say that? I do like that style wheel, I was admiring some today in the Home Depot parking lot. What size tires do you have on it now? Oh, now I see, 35s, they don't look all that big - but then I'm used to seeing 35s on my old Scout.
There's some of those wheels and tires on Sacramento craigslist for $400:o but I don't have time to go to Jackson to get them. |
So did you use the stock studs and lug nuts to bolt the adapters on then, or change them out?
Truck looks great btw. Jason |
I think I changed the back ones out for bigger studs but I left the front ones. I didn't do this for any particular reason. I think I could only get 16 studs from the auto parts store at the time so I just put them on the rear. 9/16 studs are probably overkill.

bringing up an old topic, but do you have to use the spacers for them to clear? Or is it just the offset and they sit in to far? I have a 2wd truck so I don't really need them to stick out any further. thanks..

I put the steel wheels on my truck to haul my camper, just because they have load range E tires and they will clear, but if you have wheel weights on the inside you may need to flatin them out with a hammer because it is closer than close. For my needs the spacers would be better.

Cool thanks, your truck looks nice with those wheels on there..
|
The alum. rims will hit without spacers on a 4x4, but not sure on a 2 wheeler.
|
Anyone ever try the 3rd gen dually wheels on a 1st gen dually?
