Thanks everyone..I do think for now we're gonna look for a flat bed with hitch attached and cut out the piece near the fuel tank and weld in a patch. See how it does.

Mine was pretty thin from the rear half of the fuel tank to the wheel arch on the web on the D/s. I ended up cutting a 1/4 plate about 60" long and bolting it in place using as many factory holes as possible. I am confident the frame is stronger than it was lol.

My Intercooled W250 91.5 Reg Cab has the 6" frame 3/16" thick. Bought a 1990 W150 gasser Ext Cab Long bed and it has the 7" frame 3/16" thick and wider legs on the channel. Its due to the wheelbase being about 2' longer. But I will be Cummins swapping the W150 as my Cummins body is toast after 28 years in NY
