Well my last trip to the track was fun but I couldn't get any traction till around 4th gear. So this time out I ran some sticky tires, extended my fuel screw, and cranked the star wheel down to bring on the fuel quicker. Still no good times because the clutch would let go at the top of 3rd gear and I couldn't do much but let off of it after that. But the launches were SWEET!

Here is a quick couple of pics I thought yall would enjoy, Im going to go put the new clutch in and hopefully make it back to the Houston Raceway Park this coming friday.

nice, any 60' or .25 mile times??

 

First run was 1.81 60', 9.7@64 1/8th, and 17.0@54 for the 1/4. The clutch held the launch, but once I got up in 3rd gear it pretty much free reved. Second run I let it sit for about 2 hours to cool, skipped the burn out, eased off the line to a 2.3 60', but it still let go in 3rd gear. Looks like my hunt for 12's is on hold till the DD clutch is in. I knew I should have got off my butt and put it in already.

 

I really wish I had a 4L80E trans setup out of a Frito Lay van to swap in. I'd love to try a 20psi launch on day......
