2 Gen Seats in a 1st Gen Install Help

Howdy all,

I did a search and got nothing so...

I know several people have done this...has anybody got pictures or advise?

Is it a major pain,or fairly easy?

Would I be able to do it a thousand miles from my house with just hand tools,or would I need a welder to make brackets?

My "New to me" truck has buckets and a console...with three kids I'd prefer a 40/20/40 type bench.
Not to mention the 1K ride home will be kinda' hard on the little ones keister's in those jump seats. This way they could switch-out and ride up front in the middle.

Any detailed plans or advise would be appreciated...

Thanks a bunch,

Vinny

I've got seats from a 2nd Gen in my crewcab. When I did some repair work to re-secure my front seat, it appeared that it simply bolts to the floor.

Thanks Pete,

It does look like the stock mounting brackets on there...

I guess no one else has pulled their stock buckets and console and replaced them...

I'm thinkin' I'll find out if it's that easy when I do it...

Any body lookin' for a set of buckets and a console in the near future?

Howdy,

I read a post by cdodgeguy that he was offered $350.00 for his with the seat brackets and center console...

What do you think a reasonable offer would be?

Of course that would be the whole shebang...seats,brackets,and center console, everything you'd need to make the install.

Yep Red,

They're still in there right now...

The seats and console are the yellow or tan...I'm not sure what you call that color...looks kinda' yellow or tan to me.

They look in darn good condition for 13 year old seats,I'd have to say...

If I could figger' out how to post a picture on here I'd do it...but I guess I'm sorta' "computer challenged" or somethin'.

Heck I can't even figger' out how to put pictures in my members gallery...

I can send ya' some if your interested...I DO know how to do that!
