I agree, I'm a one footer myself too. The only time I use 2 feet is when doing a burnout.

Yep, i was taught to only use one foot when driving an auto. Throwing that other foot in there makes things confusing, come the situation.

Left foot is for clutch. And dimmer switch on older vehicles.......and loud pedal (Jake) on big stuff. Up here when you take a driver's test, you use left foot on brake, it's an instant failure.

But, I guess it's what a person gets used to. To me, I tried it once and it just felt SOOO wrong, I never did again. Like backing up with the door open and your head sticking out. There's a reason they put mirrors on them doors!

I've done both...... so i guess i'm a both footer....depends on where i'm at and where i'm driving.if its in a city or something i sometimes 2 foot when its bumper to bumper to me i have a quicker reaction time if i hold my other foot up there not riding the brakes but up there just incase....but i've gotten better about it. also i'll do it on front wheel drives when its slick i'll ride the brake and the gass to try and keep from locking up the front tires...dont' knwo if it helps but thats just me....

My grandpa is from the old school and he uses two feet, one brake one gas. He scares the daylights out of me sometimes. More times than not he is on the brakes and still on the gas too...kinda crazy

When you are used to pushing the clutch in, using your left foot for braking can be somewhat funny to watch. I had a corvette (77) that was a 4 speed (not many made in that year) and there was NO room for 3 pedals down there. I tried to take it out once with a new pair of shoes (I have a pretty wide foot) and caught the brake with the clutch needless to say my neck was a little sore, however, i was happy with it's braking abilities, and also thankful that no one else was behind me

As already stated, left foot on the brake-pedal is an instant failure of the driving-test.

My father has always driven automatics with left foot on the brake; it scares me to death and worries me crazy to ride with him.

In his defense, he has never had a wreck.

Well, BOO!!!!

Nothing wrong with either way. I left foot brake, and my right one is a prosthetic leg. Top that.

I even passed my racetrack certification school this spring with flying colors and the instructor was impressed with my braking and driving.

When you get into drifting, trailbraking, and playing Dukes of Hazzard, (old school, not the new movie...) left foot braking is needed to be fast.

i have aftermarket pedals on my truck and theres little screws in the back, my shoe lace caught one once and i almost rearended a guy, so now i mostly use 2 feet, unless im on a road trip, plus my brakes are messed, first gens are famous for brake issues so i have to pump my brakes like 10 times in order to get my back brakes working....
