1st Gen Grille

Anyone have or know where I can find a Dodge grille thats in good shape within driving distance of Kansas City? the things are so fragile, I doubt they ship well. I would drive 500 miles or so.

I'm bringing my 93 W350 back from the dead. A decent grille is really the only part I still need. The LMC truck warehouse is about 5 miles from me but I'm not crazy about the plain aftermarket ones.

Thanks

Even decent used grilles are going for a decent penny these days, and NOS ones are going for close to a $1000! Get the plain after market one, then get a set of decals made up for the DODGE letters and stick them on, or if your old grille is unusable then remove the old letters and use some 3M two sided tape and stick them on the new grille.

I'll probably end up doing something like that. Been looking around for an oem one for quite a while. I still have body work and paint left to do so I'll keeping looking.

I updated my 89 to use an aftermarket grille from a 93. Since my truck had the "DODGE" emblem on the hood already it looks just fine. Unless you are an expert you wouldn't know the difference. My tailgate is updated too.

I'll bet you an intact, uncracked, grey, 1st-gen, fuse-block cover that no less than 87.3% of the undamaged, original, intercooler-era grilles that are still out there have been painted black by some high school kid that don't know any better.

Jim's has NOS ones for , hold on to something or sit down, $1895.

This is not an endorsement for them, they don't exactly have a stellar reputation.

Jim's Auto Parts scroll down to see the grille

I got lucky and found one on craigslist, it had been on there for about a week and the guy was only asking $100.00 bucks, so I called him and he said that he had it sold but the guy hadn't gotten back to him so I offered 200.00 and said I would pick it up that day.. it was still in the original box and had the plastic on it that had never been opened... it is just the grill, no inserts but I feel like I got a good deal

if it’s oem that was a steal. If it’s aftermarket that’s little over retail with shipping

It's a original shipped to Ponderosa Motors in Kalispel MT. from the Chrysler warehouse in Beaverton Oregon
it has been out of the box, but never out of the plastic bag

Dad's '93 W250 is solid black. Several years ago he was thinking of painting the grill black to match. I talked him into buying an aftermarket one and painting that one black instead. The pristine OEM grill is in storage now.

I'm curious once you open the bag nonrev, if it has the notorious "crack"? I think the factory installed the crack...

Sorry Stover93 I did not intend to hijack your thread

So on the topic of grilles, if I found an OEM grille off a half ton would it work on the cummins truck? Don't have a line on one just curious in case I ever find on in the pick n pull or somewhere.

Yes the Ramcharger and 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton grilles, 2wd and 4x4 are the same from '91.0-'93.

You'd think there would be more of them out there. I think too many of these rigs have gone through the crusher.
