I Have Yet To Have A Problem Out Pulling A Gas Rig,of Any Brand. In An Empty Race , They May Be Faster (my Getrag Is Stubborn About Speed Shifting) But Not Loaded.

I'm truly astounded to see this question. I'm not knocking you, it's just that the problems with the 6 liter powerstroke are so well known. In a nutshell, yes. There are big problems with it. Like seventy-something tsb's, countless trucks lemon lawed, countless more bought back by ford, ford owners buying dodges in droves because of it, that kinda problems.

New to diesels. Have never even thought about a new one, so I haven't researched anything current. So the 6.0 is trouble....

GM had to overcome relaeasing stuff before it was ready (5.7 diesel, the Vega, etc.). I didn't know Ford was re-introducing the concept. I don't know how much "over-testing" costs the factories, but it's cheaper than trouble such as this. Warranty claims, buy-backs and lost customers for life...

I'll do a little searching and get some specifics,

Unfortunately, none of the domestic auto companies have overcome releasing stuff before it was ready. I think it has gotten better, but the incentives to take the gamble are probably just too great.

In any case, yeah, don't buy a 6 liter powerstroke.
