1st gen accessories

1st-gen trucks don't qualify as "late model" so a lot of mfrs don't make products that fit our trucks

I'm interested in these items:

21" diamond plate tool box with gun storage on top
bedliner with shallow compartments to keep gear steady
soft tonneau cover
strong net to replace tailgate

what do you guys like for these items?

Don't get a tonneau with snaps. Velcro!

good advice Schamran, how long do the Velcro strips last?

or does it make more sense to buy a soft removable cover with a slide system and battens (so it can shed snow and rain)?

I'd rather not spray in a liner, looking for a high quality soft liner that can be removed

I don't like bras on these trucks...the front end is so cool, why hide it?

I found a good deal on a diamond plate toolbox $400 with separate locking top for guns, but I want to put a bedliner before bolting the box on

what do you guys like in soft, removable bedliners for our rigs? the thin hard plastic ones seem beat to me

Get a welder or find a guy that does it....our trucks don't have a lot of cool after market stuff as far appearance...that's my 2 cents...but this looks like it could be what you want....

I'd do actual bedliner or Rhino liner...I had a plastic insert....they get all crappy and warp...again, my two cents.

I'm gonna look into a thick rubber 'rug' that I can cut to fit the bed

don't know what I'll do about the rails

I had a Pro-Net in lieu of the tailgate for a while. pretty straightforward to figure out the width since the net has adjustable straps. overtime, they all seem to get stretched out of shape by the wind...

diamond plate rail caps? bedline the rails only? foam under the tool box, and hooks to hold against rail instead of bolts and holes?
