I usually have to start mine sitting in the seat behind the steering wheel since I have to put my foot on the clutch.

I would start with reading threads on DTR on things you want too address.

Also letting us know what you bought as '91 is a transition year.
91.0 is a non intercooled 12V.
91.5 is an intercooled 12V with a different wiring set up and a PCM but also still a voltage regulator.

Have you driven it yet?

So far we know very little about what your truck may need other than the cobwebs cleaned off it...

Welcome to DTR.

I usually start by giving the engine compartment a huge bath, making sure the battery is strong, held down well, clean tight connections, changing any fluids and filters that I don't know the history of.

Geeoff, congratulation's on your new truck and welcome to the nuthouse, believe me you will get some good advice (and occasionally some weird humor) here. There are some very smart folks here that can really help you along with almost any problem you have.
One of the first things you want to do is fiil out your sig. with basic info on your truck so the folks don't have to keep asking what you have done, oh and some pics of your truck are always welcome as everyone here likes a little truck ****
