1 ton leaf

i have had a set of one ton rear leaf springs given to me. they are only a year old. im thinking of taking out a leaf or two and putting them in my 3/4 ton. the p.o messed with my rear suspension it has six leafs and home made funky lift blocks. i want to get to roughly stock setup in the back so i can install front leveling springs.
what do ya think? take a few leaves out or try to sell them and get different springs

Put the 1 ton springs in as is and get rid of the home made blocks. The ton springs are not much higher than the stock 3/4 ton springs. You will need some bushings for the spring eyes 3/4 OD x 5/8 ID I believe.

i don't want the harsh ride associated with the one ton springs. my truck is a daily driver and i rarely tow. i thinking of putting spring liners to help soften the ride. i was also going to use the factory lift blocks that came with the springs

To be honest I didn't notice too much of a ride difference between the 3/4 and 1 ton in my truck but I expect taking a few leafs out and putting the spring liners in will help some.

The two stock options for a W250/350 were 7 leaf and 10 leaf packs. The same lift blocks were used for each. 2wd trucks used the same springs without the blocks, and a 6 leaf pack was available. Overloads were also available but you didn't mention them.

If you dropped it back to 6 leafs it would be smoother, but not plush. I wouldn't go less than 6 leaves.
