$1 Idle adjustment

I guess this is a "mommy mommy, look at me" post, but I finally adjusted my idle down after tweeking my pump a bit. I picked up a 10mm wrench for a buck from a local pawn shop, cut the box end off, drilled a 5/16 hole in it, welded it to a 3" long 13mm bolt then SHAZAM, it worked great. I did not want to mangle the nut with the chisel technique so I am pleased. It still takes an extra finger to put it in place but I can adjust it in a few seconds now. PS, I tried to return the remainder of the wrench to Sears...they wouldn't warrantee it .

I think it was well worth the $1 and a few cents for the bolt.

Wouldn't a crows foot and an extenstion do the same trick?

Yes. Thats how I adjust mine. Easy, but if you dont have one, the $1 wrench is really nice and handy.

I think the crows foot was something like $3 ...this one is at least a boxed wrench to handle the boogered up nut a little better.

Sorry i was thinking wrong. not crowsfoot, I used a wobble joint 10, shorter than a 10mm on a wobble. worked great.
