Hey Jamie. I can get that Comp Box when ever u want. Hes lookin for about 500 if thats fair. I guess it wasnt the box that had an issue, I guess what happened was the ECM was dieing cause once he took the box off his truck did the same thing and he took it in to trade it off and they told him that the ecm was just about dead. So ya, there is also one little problem. His truck was a 2000.5, not a 2001. So if it will still work, ill have it in a few days. Just pm me and we can meet up.
I talked to Tate as well, but I had nothing to offer. He is at a huge power plant and they should have something to help for a bit.
The plug is for the pin on the pump to remove it at TDC is what Tate told me. I didn't think it was the Governor spring plug..
I also offered to stop by Cummins today and drive it out to him if thats what is required. But now I am not sure as to the actual part required...
I will try to talk to Marc as well, He might have something in his tickle trunk...

J-eh...he said its a BIG plug, and I think the only one that it can be is the one pictured in my previous posts.
I highly doubt they will have anything at Sundance...its all english. I can take care of it....the drive is a lot shorter for me.

Thanks guys for all the help, you have no idea how much this is helping me.
Anyway, Luke actually has it in the picture. Pull that plug, and the plastic piece to pin the pump is inside. Lose the plug, and lose some oil.
Looking at that picture closer, the linkage on the 94 is quite a bit different than mine. So the description of a linkage spring being just above or below it was wrong. Sorry.

OK...now that I have my truck back I now know what youre talking about Tate - dont worry well get ya fixed up buddy.
Do you need some oil as well? 15W40 ok or are you running syn?

On a side note, Sundance is the worst plant yet. Much older than the previous ones, less room to work with, and hot! 42C yesterday, 38 today. Ended up buzzing my hair off at lunch time to help beat the heat!
Needless to say, the price was knee buckling...
Tate is gonna be walking a little funny for a few days.Tater, make sure ya check all bolts/plugs next time
.
I sure notice how much better the turbo spools with the new pump compared to the old one. Much smoother to 10 psi than before, and I can still spool it smoke free.
Does anyone remember what that website was that had a bunch of cummins for sale? I remember it was in Cochrane. It was a dealer of some sort who had some pretty good prices on ISB's, 6BTA and 4BTA engines. I've tried searching through here, but no luck thus far. I think Demon, Clay and myself had posted in that thread.
