What model compressor is hat? What vehicle did it oe out of? Can you post more pictures?
I put a Viair compressor on my truck afte reading that this could not be done. You have installed the compressor cleanly in the engine bay.

I studyed up on the York on board air too, even before I got my truck. All I read was 10 reasons why it cant be done on a 12 valve.I had a Viar air compressor a long time ago and sold it on Ebay.(not in the same league)I will post more pics next time I take the compressor off.I can air up my tires, run an impact, grease my truck with an air grease gun just to name a few.Cant live without it.Go too Kilby enterprise for info.the compressors are plentiful.I got my York from a junkyard for 25 bucks.I dont know what it came off of.The Kilby part # for the pully is 061-008.Just got my air bags installed today....Robert

Can you post a picture of the recovery tank relocation. My friend picked up a York at a junkyard yesterday to do this mod and we would like to see where you put the tank and how you mounted it.
Thanks,

Never tried it but read recently that almost all A/C compressors can be made into an air compressor by just disconnecting the lines and plumbing to a tank.
Of course you would no longer have A/C.

Back in the 70's and 80's guys did this lots but the compressor has to be a YORK. Without oil the compressor would just seize up and the york is the only one that has a sump where oil can be added, all the rotary types can only lube the compressor by the oil being carried in the freon. York compressors kind of went out of style with the rotaries becoming more reliable, smaller and easier to mount.
