wont start easy

hello just thought id ask, yesterday i stopped and got fuel at a fina station.after paying for the fuel it was hard to start it had to wind up,and it now has no power, takes over a half mile get to 55. It seems to be bogging down very badly, but it idles just fine. It is a 95 ctd and has never given any problems at all till now. Any ideas on things i can check to start eliminating what can cause this ,,,thanks,,,

First thing I'd do is smell the fuel and make sure it didn't have a gasoline odor. If OK, I'd change the fuel filter and inspect the old one for water or slime from the stations tank.

Sure sounds like a clogged filter.

Good luck, RJR

Bad fuel? Fuel filter? Fuel heater pre screen? Fuel lines? I would start with them as suggested above, Goodluck, and let us know, Rick

thing is i drove it to the store about a mile down the road it went to normal ran perfect till i got home, started it up about an hour later went right back to doing it. i have changed the filter and the rubber lines and checked intercooler boots to make sure they were not loose, and i filled up both trucks at same time the other ones fine,so i doubt its bad fuel.

Check the pre-filter before doing anything else

I would also check to see if the fuel shut off solenoid is opening all the way, maybe hanging up, not allowing enough fuel to flow. Darl
